Membership in the Antigua & Barbuda Union of Teachers
Membership in the Union is available to all individuals in the State who are teachers by profession.
To become a member of the Union Pay a non refundable Entrance fee of $5.00 then fill out the Membership Application Form and the Membership Information Form in detail and return them to the Secretariat.
Currently monthly dues of $25.00 are required to be paid. Payment may be done via two methods:

Check-Off where the due is deducted from the member's salary by the employer mainly deducted for Government employees.

Pay in Office where the member pays his/her dues at the Secretariat.
Membership affords the individual access to all the privileges and services of the Union.
There are two types of members;
| Financial Member: |
Any teacher in the state who pays monthly due to the organisation. Membership in the organisation is retained via continuous monthly payment. A teacher is considered Non-financial when his dues is six (6) months in arrears. Such a person shall pay a re-entrance fee of no less than six months dues to regain financial status. Non-financial members are not allowed to vote during Union meetings. A teacher is declared a Non-member when his dues are in arrears for seven (7) months. Such a person shall be required to pay a re-admittance fee of no less than One hundred fifty dollars. |
| Honourary Member: |
A former member upon whom the Executive bestows this honour. The member is not required to submit dues to the organisation. Such a member shall have the right to speak on any matter at General Meetings or Conference but shall not have the power to vote. The member shall posses all other privileges afforded financial members. |
In the event that an individual no longer desires to be a member of the Union, it is imperative that they complete the Membership Withdrawal Form and return same to the Secretariat.
